Who we are

About Us

A Proud Past. A Bright Future.

Bonvie Homes' newest venture is deeply rooted in a legacy that began with Ron Bonvie's grandfather, Charles Bonvie, who hand-crafted lobster boats in Antiguish, Nova Scotia. Inspired by the opportunities in Boston, Charles moved there, refining his skills as a general carpenter, building homes in Cambridge.

This tradition of craftsmanship continued with Ron’s father, Frank Bonvie, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran who became a union carpenter in Arizona. After returning to Massachusetts, Frank spent over 30 years in the Carpenter’s Union, contributing to a variety of residential and commercial projects in the Boston area.

Strong Values. Timeless Craftsmanship.

Growing up in Mansfield, Massachusetts, Ron learned the value of hard work, spending summers alongside his father, gaining hands-on carpentry experience. By 18, Ron built his first house and had already established himself as a skilled carpenter. His focus on construction law and engineering further set him apart, ensuring he had a complete understanding of the industry.

With over 51 years of experience, Ron has developed some of Massachusetts' most innovative lifestyle communities and built over 2,400 single-family residences across the state. His dedication to public service includes 8 years on the Mansfield Conservation Commission and 11 years on the Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals.

At Bonvie Homes' newest venture, we continue to build more than just homes—we create thriving communities where families can grow and memories are made, carrying forward a legacy of quality, innovation, and excellence.
